#1 Cure for the Winter Blues

I know I’m not alone when it comes to experiencing a case of the WINTER BLUES

#1 CURE~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I have been a little down lately, maybe it’s the cold weather, maybe it’s because I look outside and I see dead trees, and brown grass? Maybe it’s personal issues? I know I am not perfect and neither is my family. I have always wanted the perfect little family, but does that exist? We are far from perfect, but i’m perfectly fine with that. In fact, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Being a parent is not easy. I give it my all and take it day by day. Some days are easier then others. I make mistakes, but I’m learning right along with them and it’s all just a process hoping for the best outcome. Anyways I won’t blab on, I just want you all to know you‘re not alone, and no ones perfect. I see a lot of blogs that look and seem perfect, along with their INSTAGRAM, FACEBOOK, relationships, and their family. I am here to tell you it’s not real. I promise everything I post is real life.

Although the sun wasn’t shining, today’s snow day has really cheered me up, and brought me some happiness. I just wanted to share a little sprinkle of that ……

This is an image rarely caught….. So rare that it was almost impossible to get them to smile and look at the camera at the same time.. hehe

Our puppy “Sissa” even enjoyed her say

We “tried” to take a family picture in front of our snowy home.  I still like our photo, it was the best we could do . lol

We even enjoyed some pizza…

We tried to play twister. I thought I could play with the boys… I had no idea I would do so terrible. Note~ TWISTER is not made for adults or four year old … lol.. I guess it was ok because Fysh was doing just as bad as me…

The red lip stick also helped cheer me up ;)… I hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend. Take full advantage of another day alive, and healthy….. Sometimes it’s hard to find happiness in your days. Just know your not alone. There is a little bit of happiness in everything, you just have to look.  With lots of love ❤

Gotta Love the Goodwill

Usually our Sundays consists of Netflix, pizza, and snuggles.  We changed it up a bit this Sunday and went to our nearest GoodWill store. I am glad we did because we found so many great things and had fun while shopping. 🙂

As soon as I walked in I saw these canisters. My first thought was they will match my kitchen! My kitchen is decorated in the “Pioneer Woman” theme and these flowers are almost a perfect match. This set was a total of $2.00. Awesome right?

I found the watering can for $2.00 as well and added some pretty flowers.

The pitcher and bowl for $1.75. I also added some pretty flowers and waalahh.

Last but not least we found this beauty and of course we had to have a little in the moment fun!! What makes me laugh the most about this picture is that I sent this picture to my mom and she replied back, “It looks like you Britt”. Lol!! I look nothing like her, but maybe I should reconsider her style because she sure has his attention. 🙂

What to do with your bathroom floor.

I wanted to share the process in which my mom PAINTED a beautiful rug on a hardwood bathroom floor.  It’s to awesome not to share right?!?! She really does take her art to another level.

This rug is painted where the clawfoot tub will be placed. Makes for a perfect asset  to this cute country bathroom.

This is the first layer of the rug completed.

Second layer was adding the threads using a sponge.

The third layer consist of shadowing and adding more depth to the rug. Also, the lines had to measured perfectly because this particular rug is braided.

The final layer to complete this rug is the the braids and the tassels at each end. After the drying process move the tub onto the rug and enjoy. 🙂

She Takes Painting to another level. <3

I guess you can say I get my crafting and creativity from my momma but definitely not my artistic painting skills. 🙂 My mom is more on the artsy side and i’m more of the fun decor side. Hey, at least I got some talent. Right?  Anyways I wanted to share some of her AMAZING work. Check out our Facebook we share together, mostly her art work.  https://www.facebook.com/LittleSumin/

She can paint just about anything. I admire her art and her creativity.

“Little Sumin Sumin” is name of her art workshop.

These are some of the signs she has done. See link below to purchase on ETSY:
